Vera Groves – Sussex Badminton Award!

The Sussex Badminton Award was presented to Vera Groves in recognition of her outstanding work as Masters Coordinator for Sussex badminton over many years. Derek Webb presented it in Portslade SC at an over 75 county match versus Dorset. The Sussex team players were Vera Groves, Wendy Arscott, Mike Stoneman, and Tim Kaye.

SUSSEX SCOOP 7 MEDALS AT THE MASTERS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Sad News – Mary Eddy

Sussex County Badminton Association were sad to learn that Mary Eddy (nee Bridge aged 73) passed away peacefully at her home in Birmingham with her husband and family on Saturday 16/11/2019 after a short illness.  A National Junior Champion in 1964 with Lynn Veasey, Mary represented Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire first teams all with distinction.  She was…
