Bea Noakes was in sparkling form for the Under 18’s in their away match with Oxfordshire on Sunday 7th January. She showed inspired defensive work and controlled aggression in her mixed win with partner Luke Davies. Then she went on to win her singles before securing another win in the level doubles with partner Eloise Matthews.
Thomas Wood was always in control in his singles win and then took one doubles win with partner Luke Davies. The pair came close to winning their other level doubles, but just missed out in three. Robyn Haysom had a fine win in her singles against the number one Oxfordshire girl.
Eva Craig fought hard taking her singles opponent to three and just missing out in another three setter in the doubles.
It was another battling performance by the Under 18’s who showed a fine team spirit cheering each other on until the end, ably supported by coach Jonty Russ. The final score was Oxforshire 14, Sussex 6.
